Michelle Degli Esposti is an interdisciplinary researcher originally trained in psychology, with additional experience in psychiatry, epidemiology, and public health. She holds a D.Phil in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom (UK). Michelle is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher and statistical consultant across three institutions: Federal University of Pelotas (Brazil), University of Pennsylvania (United States), and University of Oxford (UK). Her research focuses on better understanding the distributions and determinants of interpersonal violence and mental health across space and time. Her research methods include quasi-experimental designs, advanced statistical modelling, and big data in order to provide robust and translatable, national-level evidence for policy and practice.
