The Postgraduate Program in Epidemiology at the Federal University of Pelotas invites candidates to apply for a Visiting Professorship for a two-year period for foreigners, with possible extension for an additional two-years.
The deadline for applications is 31 May and applications can be made by email.

Candidates must have held a Ph.D. degree for at least seven years, have relevant scientific publications in the last five years, and to have proven academic, scientific or technical-professional experience from the date of the degree.
The salary of the hired candidate will be of R$ 19,440.48 (about US $ 5,493.54) which corresponds to that of a Titular Professor in Brazil, with a doctoral degree, 40-hour appointment, and exclusive dedication.
The selection will be carried out in two phases, first by analysis of the professional competence of the candidates and second by evaluation of the scientific production of the candidates (see the guidelines).
The selection process seeks to attract high-level researchers, capable of contributing to innovative knowledge in the areas of teaching and research and thus contribute to the international status of the institution, which is rated with a maximum score (7) - a standard of international excellence - by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
